Hi Everyone,

I figured you could use a little inbox inspiration while you ride out this passing icy storm.   I'm so happy the temperatures will be raising tomorrow.   I am still planning on having the Art Journaling meeting on Tuesday at Noon only.  We will be playing with Gelatos and learning a few tricks!    

 Before Lisa left the store today, she received a new Penny Black order of some of their brand new spring stamps and dies.  These will go fast!

**Additional canvases may be done/started (depending on how quickly you work) in class with my supplies in class for $20 each ** 

This one of a kind family keepsake would make a great personalized gift for the holidays! While creating this 8x8” canvas (in your choice of paint colors) you will learn how to effectively achieve a photo transfer with that rich vintage tintype photo look. If you have had problems with photo transfers in the past, Jen will walk you through all of her best tips and tricks for getting a perfect transfer almost every time! In addition, you will learn some fun techniques using acrylic paints. metal and a variety of mediums.  (2 hours $45) 

Please bring to class… 
• Black & white photo copies of photos with subjects that can be easily cut out. Copies should be on just cheap copy paper and MUST be from a toner based/laser copier (Inkjet copies or prints will NOT work correctly). I generally take my photos to places like Staples, UPS store, etc to get my copies done. You may want to have them increase the size of the copy so that the subject be larger to work on an 8x8” canvas. 
• If you would like to incorporate PHOTO COPIES (toner based/laser – NOT ink jet) of ephemera such as wedding invitations, baby announcements, a relatives handwriting, etc to personalize your art further (optional) 
• 1” Score tape or similar strong double sided tape to work with metal 
• Gel Medium (I recommend Ranger MultiMedium – Glossy works best, but matte will be ok as well) 
• Baby wipes and paper towels 
• 1” flat paint brush and container for painty water 
• Palette knife 
• Non-stick craft sheet 
• Heat gun if you have one 
• Optional – some of your favorite background stamps and stencils (I will have some to share also)

You will learn different ways to use each product while working on details and textures that will create stunning contrast and depth. You will be working with products such as Glitter Paste, Inka Gold, 3D Stamp Paint, plus more and leave with 4 beautiful pages in your Art Journal!   (2 hours $45)

• 1-2 black & white TONER BASED or Laser jet photocopies    (NOT Ink jet) on regular copy paper

Using the beautiful and vibrant Dylusions line you will create this colorful and artistic chunky 6x6 mini-book which can be used as a scrapbook or mini art journal. We will focus on mixed media techniques for layering color and images, color theory and blending (without getting mud!), washes and glazes, a variety of ways to use stencils, stamps and masks, working with gesso and so much more… This class is all about technique while we create this book from scratch using watercolor paper and chipboard with a fun and sturdy binding method. You will be able to translate everything you learn in to future projects whether you are a scrapbooker or art journaler. I will also show you some bonus techniques for adding additional pages and some fun ideas for photos and images within the book.  (3 hours $45)

PLEASE BRING TO CLASS: 

 Container for painty water 

 Variety of paint brushes (not foam) 

 Ink blending tool with foam or similar to pounce paint over          stencils 

 Baby wipes and paper towels 

 Black and white pens/markers 

    (I use white water based Sharpie paint pens, Signo Uniball, Black PITT pens or Sharpie) 

 Pencil with eraser 

 Some of your favorite stencils (I will also have some to share in    class) 

 ½” double sided tape 

 Adhesive – for paper to chipboard (I suggest a wet adhesive like  Gel Medium)
