Sorry it has taken me so long to update the blog with the photos.

Hi Everyone,

Things are busy as usual around here and I am very happy about that. We had our first middle of the week Demo Day and had an amazing turn out. Of course, we were showing off the Cuttlebug and had great projects. We will be having more events during the week in the future.

PERSONAL NOTES - just skip if you are not interested

I actually took a day off for my birthday. Luckily, the kids were off too. Of course, I made Shon take the day off. We went down to Baltimore which we hardly ever do. First stop was the Broadway Dinner. Kirstin and I had seen the dinner featured on DInners Drivins and Dives on the Food Network. That was fun (long drive, but the food was good).

Then, we took the Duck Tour of Blatimore. I had always seen these tours in DC and Boston. I didn't even know they had them in Baltimore until Shon brought home a brouchure. The tour guide was a cheesy comic at heart with some good Baltimore history thrown in. We had a perfect day for the combo land bay tour. I would definately recommend the tour to others.

After the tour, we decided on the Aquarium for our next stop. If you have never been to a 4-D theater, this is a good one to try. There are 3-D glasses and things "happen" during the movie. We always see something different and learn a few things at the Aquarium.
One last thing I want to mention on a personal note. I feel the need to brag on my child. Kirstin was awarded the Good Sports Player of the Year award in Howard County this week. She has been playing flag football in Howard County for 3 years. (Carroll does not have a coed flag league that I'm aware of.) There was a huge awards banquet on Monday evening. The point of this award was not that she is the best player but that she has a great attitude about the game and treats others kindly. We are so proud of her.

Scrap Pink event was a sucess.

Hi Everyone,

Our Scrap Pink All Day Crop was also a lot of fun and a great way to top off the weekend. Lisa Halstead is headed up gathering home made scrap goodies for a silent auction. Between the crop attendance and the Silent Auction, we raised a total of $942 for the Susan G Komen Fund. Thank you to everyone who made the gifts for the Silent Auction, everyone who bid on the wonderful items, Lisa Halstead for all the work she put into the auction, and Lisa Castaneda for organizing the crop.

KC's visit couldn't have been more fun...

Hi Everyone,

Well, if you missed our big events this weekend you missed out on a lot of fun. KC from My Mind's Eye was so much fun to have in the store. He taught 3 fun filled classes and showed us some new tricks with new tools. KC has been working for My Mind's Eye for over 5 years and had lots of great stories to tell, including one about Martha Stewart. His suitcase was filled with lots of great prizes for the ladies in the classes and at the Friday night crop. Who says men and cropping don't mix? KC was a blast to have at the crop. Hopefully, we didn't scare him away with our silliness and I can try to get him to visit us again next year.

I used the mini album we made in KC's class to showcase his visit in our store. It's at the front counter if you would like to see the album.
