Sykesville Nominated for National 'Main Street Matters' Painting Contest

Vote for Sykesville, it's easy!
Main Street Sykesville could have a colorful year if the town receives enough votes in a national Main Street revitalization contest. 
Benjamin Moore, a company that sells painting supplies, launched its "Main Street Matters" campaign to help revitalize main streets across the United States and Canada, with paint. 
Benjamin Moore has committed to repainting 20 main streets. All projects will be completed over the next year, according to the company website.
Ivy Wells, Sykesville's Main Street Manager, said Sykesville was nominated on the Benjamin Moore website. According to the website, there are three Maryland main streets in the contest -- Cambridge, Takoma Park and Sykesville. 
To vote, visit www.paintwhatmatters.com and click on Maryland. You can vote once a day through June 30.
