Day 3 From CHA, Wacky Wednesday & Bag Lady Bonus Days

Hello,

Today was a long day filled with lots of orders.  We have lots of great things happening at the store this week like Wacky Wednesday Cards, Jen Starr visiting

When I was leaving the hotel this morning, I could not get Flat Lisa out of bed.  She said she had worked so hard the 3 days that she wanted a spa day.   Yes, she sleeps with a pillow over her head.  I was not trying to smoother her. Really...

She got her hair done and her nails.

I can't stand it when she eats in bed.  At least, she has her own bed to mess up.

At some pint today, she must have put aside the chocolate because she made this fun explosion box that will be an upcoming class.

So I had to shop by myself.  Luckily???? I ran into Sandy Boyd who
twisted my arm and made me buy lots of KaiserCraft goodies.  Think lots of great stuff to alter.

Ok, maybe the man candy helped a bit too...

Art Impressions has some adorable gift card holder stamps that I can't wait to order.  I'm bringing back the catalog so you can do preorders.
Speaking of Man Candy,  Here is KC again.  I may have ordered quite a bit of My Mind's Eye and it will be   to the store by the begining of August.

After a long day I treated myself to some real Chicago deep dish pizza.

Wacky Wednesday Cards

Day 2 with Flat Lisa at CHA

Hi Everyone,

Tracy was tired tonight so I am taking over the blog and email.  I had a busy day full of classes.  Lots of playing with new products.  I started the day learning about a new Alcohol ink marker.  It has similarities to Copic but is a lot less expensive.  Good thing I was there to do the coloring since Tracy was so tired she couldn't color inside the lines.

Tracy thought that she painted herself a pretty t-shirt but she doesn't know that I am wearing this dress as soon as she is not looking.
Here I am with famous crafter and TV hostess Julie Fei-Fan Balzer.  She taught me things that I need to know when I start doing video tutorials.
It was nice to see Stacy from Quick Quotes.  They have such a nice family business and she remembered me from the show I went to in March.
Sandy Boyd one of our great sales reps invited us to a fun Alice in Wonderland themed party by Moxxie.
While Tracy was busy ordering, I visited my new friends Carol and Cari.
This piece looks like it was made for me.

The Mad Hatter looked a bit  scary but she offered me dessert.  Maybe if I eat it I will grow taller, just like Alice in Wonderland.

I had to be sure the Queen of Hearts was in a good mood so she wouldn't take off my head.
I made it through another busy day and I can't wait to get on the show floor tomorrow to see all the new products and cool samples.

Hello from Chicago

Flat Lisa and I made it to Chicago and had a crazy busy day getting catalogs and samples.  We saw about 40 vendor presentations today.  Lots of amaazing products and it is so hard to choose.

Our first stop was to say hi to KC, our favorite My Mind's Eye rep.  Flat Lisa tried to ditch me for the photo.

I may have ordered  a bit of the new Echo Park.  Flat Lisa was too busy chatting with Madison to help me with the lines.  She is such a flirt.

Wendy Vecchi created some amazing new embellishments that you are sure to love.
Flat Lisa pretended she was at a masquerade ball instead of a craft convention.
I was so excited to find this new stamp and die vendor, Jillian Vance Design.  She is 13 and started her own company with the help of her parents.  She is the designer and came up with an amazing die that I can't wait to demo.

Flat Lisa had fun playing with the new pick'n'place sticky pencil.  You can use it like the Quik stick that we can newer get in stock.

She had a great time with the Kool Tak ladies but now she is trying to mimic their UK accents.  If she calls me poppet one more time, I may have to leave her in the room tomorrow.
